Chee Chan Golf Resort, designed by Golfplan and overseen by Dale & Ramsey Golf Course Architects, provides golfers the chance to play on one of the most beautiful and modern golf courses in Asia. Located in the shadows of the famed Khao Chee Chan Buddha and offering views of the close by city of Pattaya, Jomtien, and the Gulf of Thailand, Chee Chan is as visually lovely as it is a golfing challenge.
The golf courses has been built on the gently rolling hills characteristic of this area and in contrast to many of the other Pattaya golf courses and sometimes you get the feeling of playing on a Scottish Links course. The surroundings offers golfers a sense of area and openness. Over time the Pattaya golf track will join the ranks of the best golf courses in Pattaya and in Thailand with its sweeping views of Khao Chee Chan, temples, lakes and mountains.
The 18 hole par 72 course is a challenging 7,345 yards from the championship tees and slightly more forgiving 6,527 yards from the the front tees. The Fairways and tee boxes have been planted with Zoysia grass are a welcome change from the grass usually used in Thailand. The greens have been built using Tifeagle Bermuda grass and offer a true, fast and smooth putting surface. The par-4’s in particular are long and most mid handicappers will struggle to get up in regulation – the secondary rough is also unnecessarily challenging and you can only hope to hack out sideways. The course is very picturesque with plenty of natural wetland and attractive vegetation.
The very modern clubhouse overlooking the courses offer excellent food and the service you would expect from a 5-star golf resort.
