Bangpra International Golf Club

The course is best remembered for its long par 3’s – all of which are more than 180 yards from the blue tees and the 17^th is particularly daunting as it plays more than 200 yards with water most of the way to the green.  The par 5’s are also long and on the front 9 the par 5, 5^th has a green partially protected by a water hazard so you need to be in the right position for your approach to the green.  The par 5, 7^th is the longest hole on the course measuring 623 from the back tees but fortunately most of it is downhill so it’s just about reachable in regulation for most of us.

The back nine is a bit of a let-down after the front nine and apart from the 17^th which we have already mentioned there is enough water and sand at strategic points on the course to keep you on your toes.

Unusually the excellent clubhouse offers Japanese-style baths and Japanese cuisine in the restaurant so if your round has not gone according to plan then you can relax and enjoy a great meal
